Maysan Mando, leading representative of the automotive subsidiary industry and leader of the shock absorber sector of Turkey, signed with the Cankaya University a cooperation protocol which aiming tangible outcomes for the cooperation between the university and the industry.

THE COOPERATION PROTOCOL BETWEEN MAYSAN MANDO AND THE CANKAYA UNIVERSITY WAS SIGNED WITH A CEREMONY

Prof. Dr. Celal Zaim Cil, the Dean of the Cankaya University – Engineering Faculty; Prof. Dr. Huseyin Selcuk Gecim, the Manager of Technology Transfer Organization Application and Research Centre; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hadi Hakan Maras, Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; Anıl Yuceturk, the Director General of Maysan Mando; Askin Altinyelken, the Manager of R & D Department and Simge Dumlu Tingul, Human Resources Representatives participated in signing ceremony of the protocol materialized with the aims in respect of the industry sector to make production in a knowledge and technology-based manner and the aims of establishing joint projects and advancing the cooperation between the university and the industry.

Prof. Dr. Celal Zaim Cil, the Dean of the Cankaya University – Engineering Faculty, who delivered a speech in the protocol ceremony held on 13 May 2015 and hosted by Maysan Mando, stated: “One of the most important means of converting accumulation of knowledge into production is cooperation between university and industry. Technologic information needed by the industry should be transferred from the universities to the firms in need thereof by means of the university & industry cooperation which is a good means of converting core knowledge and theoretical information obtained from universities into practices.  These institutions must make cooperation for rational use of scarce resources. The cooperation between the universities and the industry meets the technological needs of the industry sector while the industry sector enables universities to involve in practical application. This mutual cooperation accelerates economical development of the countries.”

Anil Yuceturk, the Director General of Maysan Mando, presented his thanks to the university representatives for their contributions to the cooperation with the Cankaya University and noted: “Our first and foremost desire is to continue being a firm which uses and develops technology and uses information and technology as an efficient means as the leader institution of the sector and the first shock absorber manufacturer of Turkey. It is surely beyond doubt that the most accurate source in this regard is the universities, which are sources of the knowledge. R & D studies are investments for future. Our best strength to bring our successful past of 46 years to future is our R & D investments.”
